As a parent and a child is a child, I am constantly looking for easy things to my life. I'm sure you do the same, or if you want. Sometimes we are so busy they simply do not have time to make sure you get the price they want what we want. The bed pea is one of my favorite accessories for babies, and I want you not only why, but where to find the best deals.

My parents moved out of state born shortly after my last child was .. No, they did not wantto and I fully expect them to move back some day, but that left me with 4 kids, 2 in diapers, along with a husband, a van, a beagle and a need to travel out-of-state several times a year.

While I was investigating play pens and pack-n-plays I came across the pea pod bed. My first reaction was how cute it was.. like a little tent.. but I knew I needed more than cute, I needed practical.. useful.. something that would travel well and do the job that we needed it to do.

I was delighted to find that the pea pod bed was even better than what I was hoping for!

What makes the pea pod bed so great?

First of all it comes with a small inflatable mattress.. a couple minutes to fill and it fits snugly inside. Fitting well with no wiggle room was important to me. Not only does the mattress provide extra comfort, it also is another layer between baby and the floor.

Second, and maybe just as important, the pea pod bed is lightweight and easy to travel with. It folds up to approximately 14 x 14 and fits into its own carrying case. Super easy to carry and you can always find a place to pack it. Most, if not all, of the other play pen type travel cribs I looked at were awkward at best.. heavy and almost impossible to fit in the van with everything else. I've even flown with my pea pod bed... try that with a regular pack-n-play!

Last, but certainly not least, my baby loves to sleep and even play in his own little tent. Babies like to feel surrounded, held, and protected. The pea pod bed gives him that exact feeling.. It's his own little world and he feels safe whether sleeping or jabbering to himself or reaching for his toys... which incidentally can never get so far away that it frustrates him.

How do you find the best deal on a pea pod bed?

Shopping online is great.. I love it and it can be so convenient and so much easier than trying to find a baby sitter or, heavens, taking the babies with me. I love the hunt but the majority of my friends don't.. they want to know where to go to get what they want at the best price, order it and be done.
